# IBM Blockchain based on Hyperledger Fabric from the Linux Foundation

Various industries are starting to adopt the blockchain technology. Here's how IBM will be utilizing it, in collaboration with Hyperledger.

Hyperledger is an open-source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, Internet of Things, supply chain, manufacturing and technology. These 185+ members and 8 ongoing projects, including  [Hyperledger Fabric](http://hyperledger.org/projects/fabric) and  [Hyperledger Composer](http://hyperledger.org/projects/composer), work in concert to create an open, standardized and enterprise-grade distributed ledger framework and code base.
